Steel Fence
A tubular steel or garrison-style fence is a prefabricated picket system selected for appearance, rigidity, deterrence and gate compatibility. The picket profile, rail section, spacing, top style and coating should be confirmed together.
Select the complete system by enclosure level, rigidity, environment, posts and access points; do not compare panel price alone.
Tubular steel fence panels use vertical steel pickets welded to horizontal rails and matched with square posts, brackets and gates.
For quotation comparison: A comparable price must include the same panel, post, fixing, gate, finish, packing and accessory scope.
Specifications
Common systems use 16–25 mm pickets, 30–40 mm rails, 0.9–2.4 m heights, square posts and galvanized plus powder-coated finishes.
| Buying specification | Common options | State in RFQ / drawing |
|---|---|---|
| Picket or infill profile | Tube, bar or formed steel profile selected for style and duty | Section, nominal wall/thickness and top treatment |
| Panel dimensions | Height and bay width coordinated with posts, gates and site levels | Finished size, clear gaps and ground clearance |
| Picket spacing | Clear spacing set by safety, visibility and design requirement | Center spacing and maximum clear opening |
| Rails and panel construction | Horizontal rails connect pickets and transfer load to posts | Rail section, count, joint and weld requirement |
| Posts and bases | Embedded, base-plated or wall-mounted posts by site condition | Post section, centers, base/foundation and anchors |
| Gates and hardware | Pedestrian or vehicle gates matched to the fence design | Gate schedule, frames, hinges, locks and stops |
| Finish and color | Galvanized and/or coated system selected for exposure and appearance | Substrate treatment, coating, color and inspection |
Reference basis: ASTM F2408 — galvanized steel tubular picket fence systems, when that construction is selected · Approved panel, post, gate and foundation drawing
Confirm in the RFQ: Picket and rail section, wall thickness, spacing, top profile, panel/post, welds, gate hardware, coating system, load requirement and foundations.
Define in the quotation which dimensions, structure, finish and packing must be checked, together with the dated records you require before release.
Packing and RFQ
Powder-coated panels use protective separators, pallet frames and wrapped hardware cartons.
