What it is
Welded gabions use rigid square or rectangular mesh panels connected by spirals, clips and internal bracing ties.
Common applications
- Landscape walls
- Architectural features
- Garden partitions and benches
- Modular retaining structures
Gabion System
A welded gabion is a rigid wire-mesh box assembled from welded panels. It provides straighter faces than woven gabion and is often selected for landscaping, walls, benches and architectural applications.
Product overview
Choose welded or double-twist mesh by deformation, finish, terrain and assembly method, then confirm basket, joining and coating.
Welded gabions use rigid square or rectangular mesh panels connected by spirals, clips and internal bracing ties.
For quotation comparison: Civil design, fill stone and foundation belong to the project; a basket quotation does not replace engineering design.
Specifications
Common welded gabions use 3–5 mm wire, 50 × 50 mm, 75 × 75 mm or 50 × 100 mm mesh and modular box sizes up to 2 × 1 × 1 m.
| Buying specification | Common options | State in RFQ / drawing |
|---|---|---|
| Basket schedule | Box, mattress or custom panel set arranged to the approved wall/layout | Unit length, width, height, count and location marks |
| Welded mesh | Square or rectangular welded opening forms rigid faces | Opening, wire, weld acceptance and edge construction |
| Wire and coating | Wire and protection system selected for exposure and design life input | Wire grade/diameter, coating type and test requirement |
| Panels and diaphragms | Base, sides, lid, ends and diaphragms supplied by unit schedule | Panel list, diaphragm spacing and orientation |
| Connections and bracing | Spirals, clips, ties and internal braces control assembly and bulging | Connector type/count and bracing layout |
| Fill and site design | Stone grading, foundation, drainage and wall stability are project inputs | Approved fill, base, drainage, geotextile and engineering responsibility |
| Packing and identification | Flat panels and accessories packed by wall section or unit | Bundle list, section marks, loose-parts count and destination |
